A dream October (2009)

Boomslang’s idea of forming a unit within Seamrock came as surprise, Brian Micheal Show is an duo made up of Boomslang and K10, I think the driving force behind this union was a similar style of making beats ; from selecting the sample to mixing it with various other sounds until its finally a beat moreover they both made beats together when Boomslang started out. I think I wouldn’t be inaccurate in calling them Seamrock’s soul kids; essentially that is what their beat tape “A Dream” says if one pays close attention to it. Boomslang opens the tape with two beats and then K10 makes a brilliant entry with his signature bass lines, perfectly mixed, heavy and outstanding, (something I personally feel I will always respect him for as a beatmaker).While K10 is usually featured on beat tapes and does not appear on many projects, he is one of the country’s most gifted, talked and sought after beatmaker ; pure talent. Boomslang then follows with a title track “A dream” a track that I still feel should have been the first on the tape. The recorded joint should appear on a project by Boomslang and rapper Fatal Verb should appear on a project we are still waiting for. Aurakle also appears with “What love can do” another note worthy appearance is that of Motalio of Rap ill collabo ( a brother to K10) with “Artform” , Motalio will definitely drop a beat tape (when he does) that will definitely have us asking for more. Not only does he make beats that get love from cats that don’t listen to much Hip Hop but he also manages to drop hit after hit for every rapper he works with. With that said the views are yours.
