Beat Back Volume One (August 2008)

Boomslang also known as Sociovenomous was the first of beat maker within Seamrock to take the solo route. In August 2008 he realised that most of the material we had individually been working was beginning to pile up, and with time such beats would just be forgotten. So he decided to select and compile some of the material he had worked on this is how the beat tape beat back volume one was made. The Quthing bred producer always finds it necessary to represent his birth place in all of his tapes, and that is exactly what he did with this one, tracks such as Qtg deli show just that, he also threw in a collab with seamrocks own K10. Garden Idyll is still one of those beats that capture boomslang ‘s appeal and appreciation for jazzy and soulful music. The project also featured a number from cymtom “seamrock beat guide” and a first appearance to seamrock’s Aurakle; a new kid on the block at that point in time. Download the tape here.
